Recover and Reconnect!

Approximately 50 to 60 percent of people in the United States have experienced a traumatic event during their lifetime. Events that are considered traumatic include childhood physical or sexual abuse, sexual assault or rape, domestic violence, mugging, physical assault or violence, combat, car accident, or natural disasters.

As a result of directly experiencing or witnessing traumatic events, survivors of trauma can experience the following PTSD symptoms: nightmares, unwanted memories, uncontrollable anxiety, irritability, sleep difficulties, trust issues, shame, isolation, and conflict in relationships.

Fortunately, there is hope for survivors of trauma! Two cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) treatments have helped many people recover from the past. I am trained in both of these approaches, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD and Prolonged Exposure (PE).

By creating a safe, empathic, and validating atmosphere, many men and women have trusted me with some of their most painful memories and with the help of these approaches, we have been successful in taking back their life, regaining control of their emotions, and improving their relationships.
